Moving your wardrobe over
The reason most people never leave a wardrobe app is the afternoon they spent photographing everything. There is no direct import from Stylebook, but there is a faster way back to a full wardrobe than one photo per item.
- 1. Take a few wide photos. Mirror selfies, outfit shots, or clothes laid out flat on a bed. One photo can hold a whole outfit's worth of pieces.
- 2. Let the import find each piece. Alama's camera-roll import detects every garment in the photos, crops them, and shows you a grid to keep or drop. Nothing is added until you've looked at it, and it tells you how many free slots you have left before you start.
- 3. Try it on, then decide what to sell. Once your pieces are in, see outfits on a photo of you, and list anything you no longer wear on the built-in UK marketplace in a few taps.
Why Stylebook users switch
- See it on you Outfits and pre-loved finds rendered on your own photo before you wear or buy them.
- An app that's still being built iPhone and Android, releases most weeks, and AI that styles from what you own.
- Sell what you don't wear List, ship and get paid from the same app, on a built-in UK marketplace.
Stylebook may still suit you if a one-off price and a manual calendar matter more than try-on, AI, Android and selling.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Stylebook still being updated?
- As of 17 October 2026, Stylebook's current App Store version is 10.1, released on 15 June 2025 — more than a year ago. The app still works and its ratings remain high, but nothing new has shipped in over a year — no AI features, no try-on, and no Android version.
- Is there a Stylebook app for Android?
- No. As of 12 September 2026, Stylebook is listed for iPhone and iPad only and has no Google Play listing. If you're moving to Android, or share a wardrobe with someone who is, you need a different app. Alama runs on both iPhone and Android with the same account.
- Does Stylebook have virtual try-on or AI styling?
- No. As of 12 September 2026, Stylebook has no generative try-on and no AI styling; outfits are assembled by hand from your catalogue. Alama renders outfits and pre-loved pieces on a photo of you, and its stylist proposes a daily look from your own wardrobe and the weather.
- Can I import my Stylebook wardrobe into Alama?
- There is no direct import from Stylebook — its data stays inside the app. The fastest route is a few photos: Alama's camera-roll import finds every garment in a mirror selfie, an outfit shot or a flat lay and adds them in one go, so a wardrobe that took an afternoon to photograph item by item takes a few photos to rebuild. The free tier covers 100 items, and Alama tells you how many free slots you have left before you start.
- What changes when I leave Stylebook?
- Three things. Pricing: a free tier of 100 items instead of a one-off purchase, with optional subscriptions for unlimited storage or AI. Planning: Alama tracks wears and gives wardrobe insights, and a calendar view is still on the way, so Stylebook's calendar and packing lists have no exact twin yet. And your catalogue: there is no export-and-import path, so you rebuild it — which is what the camera-roll import is for.
- Is Alama free?
- Yes, with a generous free tier: 100 wardrobe items, 25 outfits and 3 collections, plus welcome credits to try AI try-on on your own photo. Organiser adds unlimited storage; Style Pass adds unlimited AI. There are no ads on any tier.
